Fishing in WotLK Classic runs from 375 to 450 in the waters of Northrend, and the fish feed the new cooking recipes, including Fish Feast. Bring lures, since Northrend waters ask for more skill than your rank alone gives.

Trainers and tips

  • Grand Master Fishing is taught by Marcia Chase in Dalaran for both factions, by Byron Welwick in Howling Fjord and Old Man Robert in Borean Tundra for the Alliance, and by Angelina Soren in Howling Fjord and Fishy Ser’ji in Borean Tundra for the Horde.
  • Marcia Chase also gives a daily fishing quest in Dalaran, which rewards gold and sometimes a rare prize.
  • Wintergrasp is the best place from 375 to 450: almost every catch that is not junk sells well. Use Bright Baubles, because at 400 about four in ten catches are still junk.
