Hunters get Foxes and Druids keep potions in every form
Blizzard has published its first class deep dive for WoW Forever, on the Hunter and the Druid.
Aimed Shot becomes baseline, traps work in combat and Foxes join as a pet family. Druids can drink potions without leaving their form.
Every talent tree keeps the rows of patch 1.12 and its milestone talents at 11, 21 and 31 points, and gets a new one at 16 points. Talents change at a class trainer in a capital city, and Dual Specialization unlocks at level 40. Abilities and talents can still change during the beta, says Blizzard.
Hunter
Aimed Shot is now a baseline ability at level 20. It shares its cooldown with Multi-Shot instead of
Arcane Shot. Traps can be placed in combat, with a cooldown of 30 seconds, and fire and frost traps no longer share a cooldown.
Scorpid Sting lowers the target’s chance to hit by 2% instead of its Strength and Agility.
Pets get stats from the gear of their Hunter, but no longer take player buffs. Every family learns Bite or Claw and Dive or Dash, plus one ability of its own: a
Swipe that hits three targets for the Bear, a
Dismember that halves healing for the Crocolisk, a
Furious Howl for the Wolf. Foxes are a new family with
Trickster’s Dance, which raises dodge and attack speed for 12 seconds. The Owl family is now called Bird of Prey.

The trees pull in three directions. Beast Mastery gets Focused Fire and
Summon Hawk, which calls up to two Hawks. Marksmanship gets
Lone Wolf, 20% more damage without a pet, and
Sniper Shot, a 4 second cast with 45 yards of range. Survival turns to melee with
Strider Kick and
Lacerating Strikes, which makes
Mongoose Bite bleed.
Druid
Shapeshifting stops getting in the way. Potions and almost every similar consumable work in Bear, Cat and Dire
Bear Form without breaking it, and so do weapon enchants, procs such as Crusader, and
Windfury Totem. Most doors and objects open in form, and racials such as
Shadowmeld and
War Stomp work too. Engineering bombs mostly stay off limits, except for new SAF-T and EZ-Thro recipes.
In form, auto attacks deal the damage per second of the equipped weapon. Nature’s Grasp and
Omen of Clarity become baseline, at level 10 and 20.
Lacerate arrives at level 42 as a stacking bleed, and Revive gives Druids a resurrection out of combat at level 12.
Tiger’s Fury is removed.

Balance gets Eclipse,
Insect Swarm at 16 points and
Overgrowth for three rooted targets at once. Feral has two talents at 16 points:
Shifting Power for Cats and
Primal Bite for Bears, which Blizzard chose over Mangle.
Berserk tops the tree at 31 points. Restoration moves
Swiftmend up to 16 points and ends in
Wild Growth.
Furor now stops “bear-weaving”: Energy saved outside
Cat Form is lost on shifting into a bear. Shifting Power brings power shifting back in a simpler way. Shifting Power and
Improved Shifting Power are not on the beta yet and come with next week’s build, writes Blizzard.
