Engineering in Classic Era runs from 1 to 300 on stone, metal bars and some cloth, which makes Mining the natural partner. Much of what you craft is a part for a later recipe, so keep everything. Counts are approximate: a recipe can turn green a few points earlier or later.

Trainers and tips
- Apprentice and Journeyman training is available in the capitals, Expert training in Ironforge and Orgrimmar, and Artisan training only from Buzzek Bracketswing in Gadgetzan.
- The Thorium Widget schematic is sold by Gearcutter Cogspinner in Ironforge and Sovik in Orgrimmar, and the Thorium Tube schematic by Xizzer Fizzbolt in Everlook.
- At 200 and character level 30 you can choose Gnomish or Goblin Engineering. Both reach 300; the choice decides which gadgets you can make.
