Engineering leveling guide
Engineering in WotLK Classic runs from 375 to 450 on Cobalt and Saronite, which makes Mining the natural partner. Learn Grand Master Engineering at character level 65 as soon as you reach Northrend. Counts are approximate: a recipe can turn green a few points earlier or later.

The route also uses Handful of Cobalt Bolts (2 Cobalt Bar each) and Volatile Blasting Trigger (3 Cobalt Bar and a Crystallized Water each): make about 50 bolts and 26 triggers along the way. Skinning Knives, Mining Picks and Blacksmith Hammers come from the trade supplies vendors.

- Grand Master Engineering is taught by Timofey Oshenko in Dalaran for both factions, by Tisha Longbridge in Howling Fjord and Sock Brightbolt in Borean Tundra for the Alliance, and by Jamesina Watterly in Howling Fjord and Chief Engineer Leveny in Borean Tundra for the Horde.
- Gnomish Army Knife turns green around 445, so expect to build more than 30.
- Keep the epic goggles and the Wormhole Generator for the last points: they stay orange longer and save materials.
