Blacksmithing leveling guide

Blacksmithing in MoP Classic runs from 525 to 600 almost entirely on Ghost Iron Bar, which makes Mining the natural partner. Recipes give several points per craft, so the route is short. Counts are approximate: a recipe can turn green a few points earlier or later.

Trainers and tips

• Zen Master Blacksmithing is taught by the blacksmithing trainers in the capital cities from character level 80, so you do not have to travel to Pandaria for it.
• The Contender’s plans are sold by the blacksmithing vendors in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms: in the Shrine of Seven Stars for the Alliance and the Shrine of Two Moons for the Horde.
• Ghost-Forged Shoulders turn yellow quickly, so plan a few extra crafts on that step.
