Blacksmithing leveling guide
Blacksmithing in WotLK Classic runs from 375 to 450 on Cobalt and Saronite, which makes Mining the natural partner. Learn Grand Master Blacksmithing at character level 65 as soon as you reach Northrend. Counts are approximate: a recipe can turn green a few points earlier or later.

- Grand Master Blacksmithing is taught by Alard Schmied in Dalaran for both factions, by Rosina Rivet in Howling Fjord and Argo Strongstout in Borean Tundra for the Alliance, and by Kristen Smythe in Howling Fjord and Crog Steelspine in Borean Tundra for the Horde.
- Daunting Legplates stay useful for skill up to 450, but they eat a lot of Saronite: plan for about 560 bars on that step alone.
- Break down what you craft with a friendly enchanter, or sell it to a vendor to get part of the cost back.
