Feral Druid leveling guide
Feral is the recommended way to level a Druid from 60 to 70. Mangle hits hard in both Cat Form and Bear Form, Leader of the Pack heals you on critical strikes, and Omen of Clarity at level 61 makes attacks free now and then. You can switch between a fast Cat Form for single enemies and a sturdy Bear Form for groups, and the same build tanks dungeons.
Strengths and weaknesses
- Cat Form kills single enemies quickly, and Bear Form holds groups.
- Improved Leader of the Pack and your own heals keep downtime low.
- Travel Form, Feral Swiftness and Flight Form at level 68 make you fast on the map.
- Every shift costs mana, and Shred needs you behind the enemy.

Rotation
One enemy
- Cat Form and Prowl up to the enemy, open with Pounce, or with Ravage from behind.
- Mangle (Cat) to build combo points, Shred when you stand behind the enemy, and Rip or Ferocious Bite with five points.
- Faerie Fire (Feral) lowers the enemy’s armor, and Maim from level 62 stuns an enemy that tries to flee.
Groups of enemies
- Bear Form and Feral Charge into the group, then Demoralizing Roar and Swipe.
- Mangle (Bear) on your main target, and Lacerate from level 66 when the group is small.
- In dungeons, Bear Form is your tank spec: Growl on enemies that go to the healer.
Staying alive
- Frenzied Regeneration and Barkskin when you take too much damage in Bear Form.
- Shift out to cast Regrowth and Rejuvenation, then shift back.
- Nature’s Grasp roots enemies that hit you, and Dash gets you away.

Stats, weapons and tradeskills
- Agility and Strength first, then Hit, Crit and attack power. Stamina and armor help in Bear Form.
- In forms a weapon only adds its stats, so pick one with Agility, Strength or feral attack power.
- Enchants: Major Agility on the weapon, Superior Agility on the gloves and Assault on the bracers.
- Tradeskills: Skinning with Leatherworking for leather armor and drums, or Herbalism with Alchemy for potions.
