Warriors keep Rage through armor, every Priest gets Fear Ward
Blizzard’s second class deep dive for WoW Forever covers the Priest and the Warrior. Every Priest gets Fear Ward and
Devouring Plague at level 20, whatever the race. Warriors no longer lose Rage to their own armor, and critical strikes give more Rage again.
As in the first deep dive, the talent trees gain a milestone at 16 points next to those at 11, 21 and 31. Dual Specialization unlocks at level 40. Everything can still change during the beta, says Blizzard.
Priest
Fear Ward and Devouring Plague are no longer racial spells: every Priest learns both at level 20.
Divine Spirit becomes baseline at level 30, and Shadow Word: Death arrives at level 32. It hits instantly, but costs the Priest 10% of maximum health if the target survives.
Renew from several Priests now stacks on one target, and
Prayer of Healing heals the party of the target instead of the Priest’s own.
Each race keeps two racial spells, now reworked. Gnome Priests get their first:
Confounding Flash confuses up to five enemies for 3 seconds, and
Contingency Plan shields and heals a friend who drops below 35% health. Dwarves get
Chastise, Humans Divine Grace, and Undead
Dark Sacrifice, which trades health for Mana.
Starshards hits much harder but gets a 30 second cooldown.

Discipline gets
Penance at 21 points and
Divine Aegis, a shield on critical heals.
Holy Precision adds up to 18% hit to Holy spells, so healers no longer need hit gear. Holy gets
Binding Heal at 16 points and ends in
Prayer of Mending;
Lightwell is gone.
Shadowform now allows every non-healing spell and halves the Mana cost of Shadow spells.
Shadow Weaving only helps the Priest who applies it.
Warrior
Rage works differently. Rage from damage taken ignores armor and absorb shields, as if armor always blocked 50%. Rage from dealing damage depends on weapon speed, and critical strikes give 75% more Rage again, which the launch beta did not do. Blizzard also admits Rage bugs on the beta; finding the cause may take a couple of weeks.
Tactical Mastery is baseline at level 14 and keeps 10 Rage on a stance change.
Victory Rush comes at level 20.
Recklessness,
Retaliation and Shield Wall no longer share a cooldown, and the last two drop to 15 minutes.
Thunder Clap works in
Defensive Stance and scales with Attack Power, like
Rend.

Arms folds the four weapon specializations into
Weaponmaster and gets
Spearing Strike, which dismounts its target. Fury gets
Raging Blows, so
Whirlwind hits with both weapons.
Bloodthirst no longer heals but gives 10% movement speed. Protection gets
Vanguard, which allows
Charge in Defensive Stance, plus
Bastion and
Focused Rage.
