Getting there

The Scarlet Monastery stands at the eastern end of Tirisfal Glades, at /way 85.1 31.4. The Library is the second wing; its door is open to everyone. The Graveyard page has the way there for both factions.

The route

The numbers match the map above.

  1. The Huntsman’s Cloister. A long hallway of Scarlet soldiers leads to a garden. Houndmaster Loksey (1) waits with his hounds in the room south of it.
  2. The Gallery of Treasures. Halls full of Scarlet monks and Mythology of the Titans on the shelves.
  3. The Athenaeum. The other books for the quests stand here. Arcanist Doan (2) waits at the end, with Doan’s Strongbox and the Scarlet Key behind him.

Important trash

Scarlet casters. Adepts, Conjurers and Monks hit hard and heal each other. Interrupt the heals and crowd control a second caster.

Patrols. Soldiers walk the long hallways. Wait for them before you pull, or they join the fight from behind.

The bosses

Houndmaster Loksey

Fights with his hounds, Bloodlust and Battle Shout. Kill the hounds first, or bring them down together with area damage.

Arcanist Doan

Silence and Arcane Explosion. At half health he raises Arcane Bubble, polymorphs everyone near him and then casts Detonation: run far away as soon as you see the bubble.

  • The drop rates of the boss loot and the Houndmaster Boomerang.
