Razorfen Downs: the dungeon guide for WoW Forever

Razorfen Downs is the old capital of the quillboar, grown from the same giant vines as Razorfen Kraul. The Scourge has taken it over: the lich Amnennar the Coldbringer rules the maze of thorns and the Death’s Head priests serve him. Six bosses and six quests wait inside.

Getting there

Horde. Fly to Camp Taurajo and ride south. Turn east just before the Great Lift to Thousand Needles.

Alliance. Take the boat from Booty Bay to Ratchet, ride to the south of The Barrens and turn east before the Great Lift.

The level is the lowest level at which the quest can be picked up, according to Wowhead. The Dragonclaw Ring is not in the Forever data of Wowhead yet.

• A Host of Evil. Kill Death’s Head Cultists, Razorfen Battleguards and Razorfen Thornweavers throughout the dungeon.
• Scourge of the Downs and Extinguishing the Idol. Every player talks to Belnistrasz twice for the first quest; the third talk starts the escort. Protect him while his ritual shuts down the idol. Plaguemaw the Rotting comes at the end.
• Bring the Light and Bring the End. Kill Amnennar the Coldbringer; the Horde brings back the Skull of the Coldbringer.
• An Unholy Alliance. The Small Scroll from Charlga Razorflank in Razorfen Kraul leads to Varimathras. He wants the head of Ambassador Malcin, who can spawn in several places just outside the instance.

Freezing Spirits

The ghostly Freezing Spirits cast Frost Nova. Stack on the tank so nobody gets frozen out of position.

The bosses and their loot

The loot per boss comes from Wowhead, with the stats from the files of the beta. Wowhead lists several more drops that are not in the Forever data of its tooltips yet; they are named without a link.

Tuten’kash

Summoned with the gong: clear the waves of spiders first, and ring the gong again after each wave. Turn him away from the group because of Web Spray.

Mordresh Fire Eye

A boss with little armor on a pile of bones. Clear the dancing skeletons first; the last pack pulls him, so kill it quickly with area damage. Interrupt his Fireball.

Glutton

A simple fight. Stay out of his Disease Cloud and heal the tank through his Enrage.

Ragglesnout, a rare

His Dominate Mind is the danger: if the tank or healer is taken over, the hybrids fill in. Interrupt his Heal and Shadow Bolts. Wowhead lists Savage Boar’s Guard, Boar Champion’s Belt and X’caliboar for him.

Amnennar the Coldbringer

The last boss. Tank him facing the tent where he stands to neutralise Amnennar’s Wrath, stack on the tank for Frost Nova, switch to the Frost Spectres when he summons them and interrupt Frostbolt.

Plaguemaw the Rotting

The end of the escort of Belnistrasz. Kill the waves one at a time, ideally with an off-tank pulling them off Belnistrasz. Plaguemaw himself is a tank and spank. Wowhead lists Swine Fists and Plaguerot Sprig for him.

What is not known yet

• The drops that are not in the Forever data yet, such as X’caliboar and the Dragonclaw Ring: whether they still drop.
• The drop rates of the boss loot.
• The quest rewards may still change during the beta.
