78Getting there
The keep stands in the mountains just north of Pyrewood Village in Silverpine Forest, at /way 44.5 68.0. For the Horde, the Sepulcher with all three quest givers is a short ride away.
For the Alliance, Silverpine Forest at this level is a long and dangerous trip. Skyborne characters reach the zone fairly quickly from Dalaran.

The route
The keep climbs over several floors, each with its own map above. The numbers match the bosses.
- The cells. Rethilgore (1) guards the prisoners at the start. After the fight, free the prisoner of your faction, Deathstalker Adamant for the Horde or Sorcerer Ashcrombe for the Alliance. He opens the door to the courtyard.
- The courtyard. The body of Deathstalker Vincent lies to the right of the stairs. Three elite horses stand in the stables, and Jordan’s Hammer for the Paladin quest lies nearby.
- The kitchen and the dining hall. Razorclaw the Butcher (2) works in the kitchen. The ghost of Baron Silverlaine (3) haunts the dining hall; he is optional.
- The upper hall. Commander Springvale (4) waits in a room of Wailing Guardsmen. The rare Deathsworn Captain does not always spawn.
- The wall walk. Odo the Blindwatcher (5) and his Vile Bats.
- The observatory. Fenrus the Devourer (6), with
The Book of Ur on a shelf in the same room. - The tower. Wolf Master Nandos (7) guards the door with his wolves. Archmage Arugal (8) waits at the top.
Important trash
Fel Steeds and the Shadow Charger. Three elite horses in the stables that hit very hard; pull one and all three come.
Fel Stomp stuns everyone nearby.
Polymorph one and let a Hunter or Warlock pet tank another.
Wailing Guardsmen. Screams of the Past fears the group. Pull them in small groups, especially before Commander Springvale.
Worgen packs. The Bleak Worgs cast
Wavering Will, which slows casting and attacks. Kill them first in every pull.
The bosses
Rethilgore
A level 20 worgen with two Bleak Worgs and a Shadowfang Whitescalp. Rethilgore’s Soul Drain hurts. Kill the adds first.
Razorclaw the Butcher
A level 22 elite in the kitchen, with adds to mark and kill first. His Butcher Drain leeches health from the tank throughout the fight.
Baron Silverlaine
A level 24 ghost. Clear his room first. His Veil of Shadow lowers the healing the tank receives by 75%; interrupt it or remove the curse.
Commander Springvale
A level 24 elite in a room full of adds. He stuns with
Hammer of Justice. At 30% health he casts
Divine Shield and then
Holy Light: interrupt the Holy Light, or the fight drags on.
Odo the Blindwatcher
A level 24 worgen with a pack of Vile Bats.
Howling Rage gives him more attack power as his health drops. Kill the bats first and save the damage cooldowns for when he is below half health.
Fenrus the Devourer
A level 25 wolf without adds. A plain damage race, but he hits the tank hard and his
Toxic Saliva needs a poison cure.
Wolf Master Nandos
A level 25 worgen who guards the door to Arugal. At 80% health he calls his pack: Bleak Worgs, Slavering Worgs and a Lupine Horror. The tank has to pick them up quickly.
Archmage Arugal
The final boss, level 26. Kill the three worgen in his room first. Arugal teleports through the room, takes control of players and casts
Void Bolt, which cannot be interrupted, and Thundershock.
Arugal’s Curse cannot be removed; crowd control a cursed player instead of attacking them. Shadow Resistance helps.
After the fight, the
Black Tome lies on the table in his room, new in Forever. It starts the way to Lyn the Ignored, a hidden boss in the City of Dalaran; every step is in the post about the Tome of Dalaran.

What is not known yet
- The drop rates of the boss loot.
- The way in for the Alliance: how fast it really is for the Skyborne from Dalaran.
